Outreach

Outreach ministry at Redeemer takes many forms...

Casa Hogar: A home for children in Mexico. Church members visit annually to bring crafts programs and general help to the children and their caregivers.

Pleasant Valley Connection: Currently, Redeemer members are most involved in the GED program, serving as tutors and support for adults working toward their GEDs.

Project HOST Soup Kitchen: Members of the church serve lunch on a Sunday each quarter. Help is needed to prepare the meal, serve the meal, greet the people and clean up after the meal.

Samaritan House: Founded by Redeemer and four other member churches in the surrounding community to serve the needy in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood. Food is distributed on Tuesday and Thursdays; clients may select items once every two weeks. Samaritan House also provides clothing and some household items. Financial support is greatly needed--just $8 per month buys groceries for a family. Please place any food donations in the grocery cart near the Transept.

Special Offerings: At Lent, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter services, special offerings are collected for various organizations in our community or sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese.
